Refund Policy

1. Pre-Registration Deposit Refunds
If you pre-registered for an auction and did not win, your deposit is automatically released. No action needed from you.
If you won the auction, the pre-registration deposit is applied toward your final payment obligation. If the reserve price was not met, all bidders receive a full deposit refund automatically.
2. Seller Security Deposit Refunds
Sellers who pay a security deposit before their auction goes live will have it released automatically once the auction ends and the winner completes payment. The typical release timeline mirrors the bidder flow above.
If no bids were received or the reserve price was not met, the seller security deposit is released within 24–48 hours of auction close.
3. Winner Payment Refunds
Once a winner completes payment, refunds are only available in the following circumstances:
- The item received is materially different from the listing description.
- The item is counterfeit or fraudulent.
- The seller fails to ship within the required 48-hour window without communication.
- The item is damaged due to improper packaging by the seller.
All refund claims must be raised within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery date if undelivered). Claims raised after this window will not be accepted.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
- Pre-registration deposits of winners who do not complete final payment within 48 hours.
- Seller security deposits forfeited due to non-delivery or policy violations.
- Change of mind after winning an auction.
- Mystery Box wins where the complaint is solely about product identity (the item existed and was delivered as described).
- Any fees charged by your bank or payment provider for the transaction.
5. How to Raise a Dispute
To raise a refund dispute:
- Email support@biddit.in with subject: "Refund Request – Auction #[ID]"
- Include your registered email, auction ID, and a description of the issue.
- Attach photographic evidence if the issue is condition-related.
Our team will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and resolve it within 7 business days. For urgent cases (suspected fraud), email fraud@biddit.in.
